"I am thrilled to continue advocating for my military community on the issues affiliated with our many Permanent Change of Stations (PCS) also known as relocations.
A huge issue is military spouse unemployment and underemployment. On average, we relocate every 2-4 years, with very little notice, and all over the world. Due to the frequency of these moves, it can be difficult for spouses to commence, maintain, and progress in a career field. Many military spouses feel defeated and that they cannot have a career due to the needs of the military and being the dominant family member at home. It is truly disheartening to hear, especially since so many of these individuals are talented and would help enrich our workforce.
I believe that it is imperative for military spouses to create multiple income streams especially ones that are easily portable. I have been fortunate to learn from military spouse entrepreneurs and would like to create networking opportunities for spouses. Let’s learn from one another!"
